Here is a compact growing shrub that has dark purple flowers in full trusses. The flowers are quite similar to those of the famous 'Purple Splendor', but on a plant that is easier to grow. Large, vivid, violet-purple flowers have a strong purplish-red center and prominent black flare. The wavy edged blooms are held in trusses of 19. Matte green foliage densely covers this compact bush. ('Melanie Shaw' x 'Brenda Lee') Hardy to -10 deg F, or zone 6.
