GREAT EXPECTATIONS

Here is a very nice nakaharae hybrid from Dr. August Kehr that is a low spreader with salmon flowers.  From North Carolina, Dr. Kehr developed a group of evergreen azaleas in the early 1960's.  His goal was to produce low-growing plants with double flowers and good cold hardiness (down to 0oF).  Great expectations is a wonderful azalea that everyone loves.  It blooms in April.
