Ernest Inman

The 'yak' hybrid R. 'Ernest Inman' was created by A.F. George of the Hydon Nursery, Godalming, Surrey, England, and registered in 1963. This sister seedling of R. 'Caroline Allbrook' is still, after all of this time, a rhododendron still in cultivation. This is saying quite alot as there are over 12,000 registered rhododendron hybrids, most lost to the trade. This plant is compact, has glossy, dark-green leaves and very attractive lavender flowers.
