Scarlet flowers on a low growing rhododendron, perfect for the smaller yard. Hybridized by Lord Aberconway of Wales in the 1930's, this cultivar is good as it is still grown and sold today. Hardy to 0 deg F, so most gardeners can grow it. Often will bloom twice a year.
