Cecil Smith' form

I think "Jurassic Park" says it all when describing this exotic species.  The leaves will grow to 20" long and 10" wide, and are very dark green and shiny.  There is a whitish to light tan indumentum on the undersides of the leaves.  This 'big leaf' rhododendron will become a tree, so provide enough room for it to stretch out.  The flowers are a nice yellow with a purple throat in clusters of 30.  Tropical!
