Berg's Queen Bee

One of Warren Berg's most lovely rhododendron hybrids. This is a hybrid between 2 of the most handsome rhododendron species, R. degronianum ssp. yakushimanum and R. tsariense. Both of these species have thick, wooly indumentum on the stems and leaf undersides...a collector's most coveted trait. 'Queen Bee' will grow to be 3 ft tall x 4 ft. wide in 10 years, and is hardy to 0 deg. F. The flowers open pink, then eventually fade to white. This rare gem is a collector's dream.
