This vigorous, deciduous, suckering shrub is a native to eastern North America. It has creeping underground stems and a spread that often exceeds its eventual height of about 6 ft. Oval to lance-shaped green leaves turn orangey-red in autumn, followed by white fruit somtimes tinged with green. 'Flaviramea' is a form displaying bright greenish yellow shoots. |
