Genus: Hydrangea

Tellers Red
The name 'Teller Red' is descriptive of this rose flowering lacecap from the Teller series of hydrangeas. Also known as 'Taube', this cultivar comes to us from Europe. The lacey flower heads are quite large, sometime 12" across with rose-red sterile flowers that have lighter centers encircling the cream-colored inner buds. The foliage is large, rich green in color, and very lush. Being sensitive to soil PH, this variety needs neutral soil PH to have the rose coloring. In acidic soils it is more of a light blue-purple. Our plants bloom from July well into the fall. Outstanding and choice!
