If there is one thing we really love about our dwarf conifers, it is that they always look perfect. These little trees really shine through all of the seasons, no matter what the weather. They add those bright foliage colors year round, or the form or texture your garden requires.

Thunderhead
This dwarf form of the Japanese Black Pine has large dark green needles with real white long buds. It is a very striking landscape plant and is most useful as plant that will draw the eye with its strong presence. This plant can ba a shrub or small tree, depending on how you let it grow. I have seen this plant trained and pruned by Japanese master plantsmen into works of art. This cultivar was found by Vermeulen in about 1987.
